After six years of teaching middle school language arts, Brooke has spent the last two years as an elementary Reading Specialist and MTSS Coordinator whose main interests are helping students realize the joys of literacy by empowering them with a strong knowledge base and supporting a broad range of reading and writing experiences.

Recently, Brooke has embarked on learning journey to better understand and implement practices that align with the Science of Reading, the knowledge base that explains, scientifically, how the human brain develops the ability to learn with appropriate instruction.

When Brooke is not tutoring, she enjoys reading, playing tennis, running, gardening, and hanging out with her dogs.
